Reeds has invested close to £200,000 in new production technology, led by the installation of an HP Latex R2000 hybrid flatbed printer and a Trotec laser cutter.

The HP Latex R2000 enables production across rigid and roll media up to 2.5m wide, and installed in a purpose-built room at Reeds’ existing site, the printer allows the company to produce large-format graphics entirely in-house.

The addition expands capacity across POS, display, retail interiors and exhibition graphics, while reducing reliance on external suppliers. The R2000 combines hybrid flexibility across boards and flexible substrates with high-opacity white ink and consistent colour performance across materials.

Marco Oliver, Senior Management Team at Reeds, said: “The R2000 gives us true hybrid capability at scale. We can now run rigid boards and roll materials up to 2.5m wide on a single platform and keep more of that work in-house.

It opens up new opportunities in POS and display while maintaining the quality and service our customers expect.”

The water-based latex technology aligns with the company’s ISO 14001 environmental certification and supports indoor and retail-safe graphics production without solvent-based processes.

Supported by £10K of funding through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Rural England Prosperity Fund, the installation of the Trotec laser cutter, has bought precision cutting and engraving of acrylics, woods and coated metals in-house.
