Canon has celebrated four years of partnership with the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF), delivering printed editions of its Printing Outlook report.

This longstanding collaboration reaches a new chapter as the BPIF prepares to unveil a refreshed brand identity – bringing a modern, confident and data‑driven visual framework to one of the UK print industry’s most authoritative quarterly publications.

The report showed that in 2025, the UK print industry generated £14bn in turnover, employed 91,000 people across 6,700 companies, and has continued to deliver a positive trade balance, into 2026.

The UK is also the 5th largest producer of printed products globally and 2nd in Europe, reinforcing the sector’s continued relevance and resilience. The partnership with the BPIF reinforces Canon’s commitment to the UK print sector.

Duncan Smith, country director, Production at Canon UK & Ireland, said: “Our partnership with the BPIF represents a shared commitment to elevating the value and visibility of print in the UK. The BPIF’s refreshed branding brings new energy to the publication, and we’re proud our technology is helping deliver this evolution.”

Kyle Jardine, BPIF economist, and author of the Printing Outlook report, said: “Canon and BPIF Printing Outlook partnership now enters its fifth year with increased vigour and excitement about the future of the industry, a new determination about the importance of championing research on our dynamic industry, and encouragement that the growing use of data will inform decisions and help the printing sectors develop further.”
