Players of Southend United will enjoy a new look changing room and tunnel after the stadium was kitted out with new signage and décor.

In celebration of reaching the National League play-off final at Wembley last year, the Essex-based club felt it was time for an upgrade.

Having worked with Solopress before for its signage and print needs leading up to the big day, the club called on it contacts again to help transform the space.

Michael Day, Southend United’s account manager at Solopress, visited Roots Hall to see the space and determine the size and scope of the project.

Once both sides agreed on what was needed, Southend United approved the quote and the brief was set: a clean, simple design built around the team’s yellow and blue colours.

Rylee Doe, Southend United’s commercial manager, said: “Southend United have been working with Solopress for multiple seasons and we’re incredibly proud of our partnership.

“We were very impressed with the branding of the changing rooms at Wembley Stadium and felt that it was important to replicate that professionalism at Roots Hall for our first team squad.

“We hope that the new changing room design sparks inspiration for all of our players throughout the seasons to come.”
