Resolute Ink has invested in a new ink manufacturing facility

Resolute Ink has announced a significant investment in a new ink manufacturing facility, which the company aims to meet the demand for a new addition to Resolute Premium.

Colin Marsh, managing director of Resolute DTG Ltd and CEO of Resolute Print Group, said: “There comes a time when you have to break away from available supply routes and invest in a new product’s future.

“The demand for Resolute Premium DTF ink is growing at a remarkable rate. With the introduction of our new improved white ink, the decision was made to bring the full manufacture in-house, right here at Resolute HQ in the UK.”

The new Resolute Premium uses higher-quality components, offering low sediment properties without the opacity suffering, it has also been designed with Resolute’s Ultra DTF process in mind, allowing for more white ink to be jetted without bleed or pooling.

The new low maintenance formulation also reduced wear and tear to print heads, extending its life span by up to 30% over the original formulation.

The new state of the art lab, already in production, ensures the highest quality and continuity, as well as allowing for strict quality control as up to 90% of the manufacturing process are sourced in the UK reduced imports, shipping and helping to lower its carbon footprint.

Mr Marsh continued: “The new lab is housed next door to our R&D centre, where the initial development of the low sediment testing started.

“The DTF process is ploughing through the textile decoration industry at a remarkable pace. Predicting demands and market trends is my main role at Resolute, and the key to its continued success. When a project like this comes to fruition, it makes all the hard work and investment worth it.”
