Epson has launched its latest eco-solvent large-format printer designed for the signage industry.

The new SC-S8100 is the latest edition to the range, following the launch of the SC-S7100 and SC-S9100 earlier in the year.

The new 64in hardware features an expanded six-colour ink configuration utilising the advanced Ultra Chrome GS3 ink set, which includes CMYK, Light Cyan (Lc) and Light Magenta (Lm).

It achieves superior print quality with reduced banding levels. The new, larger Precision core MicroTFP printhead increases productivity by up to 30%, depending on material type, compared to its predecessor, the SC-S60600.

With a compact height of 1,021mm, a reduction of 317 mm over its predecessor, the SC-S8100’s transparent cover and low-profile design allow users to monitor fleet status from any angle easily.

The printer supports a choice of ink capacities, allowing customers to select either 800ml or 1500ml ink packs based on their usage needs for individual colours.
