BIOND combines sustainability and performance for outdoor advertising applications

Digidelta has launched its new range of bio-based films aimed towards outdoor advertising.

BIOND, the new bio-based films, are 85% bio-based and is created using vegetable-based products that absorb carbon dioxide during growth, reducing its total footprint by more than 80%.

The print service provider can reduce the impact of its own production setup, while the brands and marketers running the advertising campaigns can strengthen their own environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals and targets.

Digidelta says that users will see results equal to or even greater than those in traditional PVC-based applications, not only in the final finish but also with overall durability.

Digidelta produces BIOND in-house, in their facility in Portugal, with processes being 85% solar powered. Armando Mota, CEO of Digidelta, said: “Sustainability is a crucial focus area for many brands, including some of the most well-known companies in the world, with the pressure very much on their marketing partners to satisfy these demands or risk being replaced by rival companies that can provide solutions.

“There is no longer any reason – be it technical, economic or performance related – for major brands not to demand BIOND films. They are cost-competitive, equal or superior in usability, and reduce CO₂ emissions by more than 80%. BIOND is the logical and responsible choice for the future of outdoor advertising.”
