Antalis has added Sun Strong Board to its portfolio

Antalis has added Sun Strong, a premium GC2 boxboard manufactured by Burgo, to its large-format range.

The addition strengthens Antalis’ portfolio for printers and converters producing packaging, carton and graphical POS and display applications.

Sun Strong is a coated GC2 (FBB) cardboard produced from three layers of bleached virgin fibres, incorporating a CTMP (Chemi-Thermomechanical Pulp) middle layer.

This structure provides a good combination of stiffness and flexibility, ensuring smooth performance in folding, finishing and die-cutting processes.

The board features a smooth, satin-finish surface, with a double coated top side and an uncoated reverse, delivering consistent results for offset and flexo printing.

It is also suitable for a range of additional surface treatments, supporting premium packaging requirements.

Available in sheet and reel formats, Sun Strong is supplied in weights ranging from 275 to 325g m/sq, offering flexibility across a wide range of packaging and graphic applications.

Sun Strong is 100% recyclable, manufactured using ECF pulp, certified to FSC and PEFC standards, and achieves a rating of 4-stars in Antalis’ Green Star System, supporting customers’ sustainability and compliance objectives.
