Director of Kazoo to take on Marathon Des Sables

Simon Talbot, director at Kazoo, is embarking on a personal challenge by taking part in the Marathon Des Sables in Fuerteventura.

The 70km run/ hike takes place in the rugged and steep landscape of the Spanish island over four days.

Mr Talbot will be required to carry his own supplies weighing 8kg, including food, water and bedding, in 30°C heat.

He said: “This is a challenge to take me way out of my comfort zone, but knowing that everyone has my back will keep me motoring on.

“Running is my escape. It helps me think and takes me away from pressures of life for a few hours while creating great leadership skills in my thoughts.”

Over the years, Mr Talbot has used his running to engage with others, encouraging them to join him and aiding many with their mental health. He has raised over £20,000 for charities such as Cancer Research and Alzheimer’s.

Mr Talbot will be taking on the MDS from Monday, September 30 to Thursday, October 3.
