In order to strengthen and expand its offering across Europe, Ultima Displays has invested in an HP Latex R2000, an HP Latex FS50W, and an HP Stitch S1000.

Ultima Displays’ business in the UK took delivery of a new HP Latex R2000 at its facility in Corby in May 2025. The machine was purchased from and installed by approved HP partner Papergraphics.

Capable of running boards up to 2.5m wide and at speeds of up to 86m sq/hr in indoor mode, the machine runs five-litre colour cartridges and three-litre white cartridges opening up all manner of work across a host of markets.

Dave Bonehill, director of operations at Ultima Displays, said: “This was a strategic choice; it aligns with our existing setup as most of our current machines are HP, enabling streamlined reporting, consistency in quality, and a unified user interface across devices.

“The printer allows us to more than double our rigid board printing capacity, dramatically reducing lead times, which is a critical factor in the fast-paced retail and event sectors.”

The new machine is running alongside a number of other HP printers at Ultima’s facility. These include an HP Latex 800W, which is primarily used for flexible graphics, and an HP Stitch S1000 and HP Stitch S500 for dye sublimation textile printing.

HP Latex is also playing a major role in growth plans across the wider business at Ultima Displays. In addition to the new machine at its UK site, it has also installed an HP Latex FS60W at its facility in Gdansk, Poland, while its Italian business has recently taken on an HP Stitch S1000.

Ultima Displays added that with HP technology already playing a major role in its expansion strategy, it could consider further investment from HP to support its longer-term growth plans in regions around the world.
